This article is written in American English, which has its own spelling conventions (color, defense, traveled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

On 13 April 2023, it was proposed that this article be moved to Aluminium can. The result of the discussion was not moved.

Global annual production of aluminum cans

The article states "Global production is 180 billion annually" whereas the International Aluminium Institute" states "global consumption expected to increase by 50 per cent between 2020 and 2030 (i.e., from 420 to 630 billion cans annually)." So the Wikipedia figure is either very wrong or many years out of date. In any case, one should index global annual production to a particular year since it can change quite considerably over time. 192.184.206.55 (talk) 01:10, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
